If one of your answers includes “Went to the Walk against Warming” then that was the right answer. Here in Darwin there was a very reasonable turnout. I had only heard about it via the Get Up campaign and I have no idea how most others heard about it as I don’t read the local tabloid newspaper and rarely watch commercial TV.

I grew up in a rural farming area in New Zealand and have been living in beautiful sunny tropical Darwin for over 10 years. That country upbringing and an interest in environmental issues over the years as well as the recent awareness about global warming and climate change that is sweeping the globe inspired me to start this blog.

I fully believe it is possible to live a clean green and sustainable life without too many painful changes to our lifestyle. This blog is a place where I can document things that have been useful, issues in my area and constructive means that people have gotten around the problems.

So watch this space!
